Torii Gate Frame

$0.00

This project started as a traditional picture frame with the only requirement that it be built out of Koa.  During the initial discussion integrating a Torii gate into the framing of the picture evolved.  The dimensions of a traditional Torii gate scaled down to fit the picture was not acceptable to the client.  The artist of the original painting was contacted to augment the painting by adding two additional smaller pictures which would extend the sky to accommodate the Torii gate picture frame.  The artist agreed to create two additional paintings.  The client loves egrets, so the egret was added.  The unique picture frame of Koa with its ebony accents was the final result of collaboration with the client.
